Welcome to the 2008-09 school year!
I am excited to be the Principal of New Diana Middle School. It is with great anticipation that I look forward to working with the students, parents, and the community of Diana. We will have a great year, and there are high expectations for the students of NDMS. We expect all students to participate and work hard in all activities of which they choose. Success is Earned! Academics is our number 1 priority, and extracurricular activities are an extension of our quest to be the very best in all that we do.
My entire 16 year career has been in education. I came to New Diana from the Jefferson ISD, where I spent the first 15 years of my career. The experiences gleaned from there were invaluable. Positions held at Jefferson included Physical Education/Coach, Elementary Assistant Principal, Junior High Assistant Principal, and Director of Student Services. This past year I served as the New Diana Girls Athletic Coordinator and Head Girls Basketball coach.
I am married to Ginger, who is a elementary teacher in the New Diana ISD and is an alumni as well. Our families have been in this area for generations. We built a home here in Diana last year. We have two daughters, Hannah and Halle, who are students in the New Diana ISD. It is a privilege to live and be active in this community.
The teaching staff here in NDMS is second to none. The work ethic, knowledge, and personalities of these teachers serve to help our students reach the peaks of their educational pursuits. The results of these efforts have made NDMS a "RECOGNIZED" campus and one of the top schools in the state of Texas [Texas Monthly 2007]. It is my honor to uphold the high standards set forth by the hardworking individuals of the community, and an honor to lead a school of such reputation in these days and times. NDMS is a reflection of the face of this wonderful community. Only the best will suffice!
