Absences
When your child returns to school after being absent, please send a note regarding this absence. The notes are turned into the office and kept on file. Your child will have one day for each day he/she is absent to complete makeup work.
Homework Folders
This year your child will have an orange homework folder. All homework from every subject will be in one folder. As you open the folder, you will notice a "keep" side and a "return" side. Any item that is placed on the "keep' side is to be taken out and kept at home. This may include notes from me, office notes, etc. Any item that is placed on the return side is to be returned to school. This will include homework, guided reading book or papers that need to be signed! Please feel free to communicate to me through this folder as well. I will be checking this folder every morning. If needed, you may include a note.
You will notice a 6 weeks calendar on the front of this orange folder. This calendar is to keep you informed of upcoming events or important days. It will be marked daily with your child's discipline color (see discipline procedure). Please initial every night!

Graded Papers
Graded papers will be sent home in a green folder every Tuesday. Please take the papers out, look through them and keep at home. Sign the dated sheet on the left side of folder and return on Wednesday.
Lunch Money
When giving your child lunch money, please place in a zip lock bag or envelope. Label the bar or envelope CLEARLY with the amount, their name and HOMEROOM teachers name! You may also go online and put money on your Childs account. Just click on the Lunch Money Link
Conferences
Please feel free to contact us by phone, note or email. Please schedule conferences ahead of time as we also have other meetings and planning sessions during this time. If you need to meet before or after school, these will also need to be scheduled appointments. Our conference time will be 8:30-9:110. Please call 903-663-8004 to set up a conference.
Snacks
Due to lunch being at 12:30 this year, your child may bring a small healthy snack to help get them through the morning. This should be something like pretzels, animal crackers, or peanut butter/cheese crackers, etc. Please do not send drinks.
Party Invitations
This year we are going to be very strict about passing invitations out at school. Unless your Child is inviting the entire class or all boys or all girls, we will not allow them to pass the invitations out. We feel this will eliminate hurt feelings and unnecessary classroom disruptions.
