Hello!

My name is Holly Cooper and I teach kindergarten.  I came to Diana as a student teacher in the fall of 1999.  After graduating from UT Tyler, I was hired to teach fourth grade writing.  With seven years of writing behind my belt, I decided it was time for a change and asked to move to Kindergarten.  Starting a new grade has been a blessing for me.  I am thrilled to work with children as they begin their education.  I plan to use my knowledge of the writing curriculum to teach your child to write stories before they leave for 1st grade.

I have two children of my own:  Colby who is 12 and in 7th grade and Maddie who is 7 and in 2nd grade.  My husband, Tim, is a long-time employee of Satterwhite Log Homes.  We are a blended family and stay very busy being involved in our children’s lives.

Something about me that may surprise people is that I have lived in a barn for over a year!  My husband and I sold the home we had so we could build a new house.  We are currently near completion and plan to be in our house just in time for the holidays.

I love cooking, reading, exercising, and being with my family.

Diana is a wonderful community to raise a family, and I am proud to be a teacher here.

Kindergarten is a fun and exciting year for you, your child, and for the teachers!  Please look over the valuable information about the kindergarten curriculum.

Thank you!
